I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 13 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. My journey into psychiatric nursing began when I witnessed the stigma and barriers my community faced in accessing mental health services, and I was drawn to the holistic nature of nursing and the opportunity within psychiatric practice to combine psychotherapy, medication management, and wellness strategies. My identity shapes the way I practice—I value cultural humility, recognize the effects of generational trauma, and honor how mental health intersects with race, identity, and systemic oppression. I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, complex trauma, life transitions, grief, identity-related concerns, systemic racism, micro-aggressions, ADHD, and sleep disturbances. I believe that the most effective treatment plans are built with my clients, not for them, and I approach care in a collaborative, holistic way that considers the mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of well-being—because everything is connected.
